The Giver

Recently I have read this book; The Giver.
Unless you have read it, I cannot explain the effect it might have on the readers.
The book is based on a community that is quite different.

Sometimes when we are upset or just sad about incidents that happened/happens to us, we hear ourselves ask ; Why is life so unfair?
It’s usually because we are in pain or frustrated. But when we are happy, we hardly flatter life. We hardly talk about how amazing life is or the world is.
World is not messed up nowadays, it has always been this way because without pain and suffering, you would not understand happiness and satisfaction. Nowadays we just get to know about the sufferings more and in detail, because of the new social media and other mediums of news.
Imagine a life, without any pain or suffering. Where everything happens according to the plan and never fails.
Imagine a life without, love.
Now, that would be hard. Why can’t we just have love and happiness and just delightful events with no suffering?
Because if we did, we would get sick of love, happiness and all the delightful events around us. It will be monotonous.

The book ; The Giver. It is based on a community that goes according to many rules; no one must violate the rules and regulations. The choices are limited; infact the community decides your fate. You are never starved, without a job or a purpose. And you never will understand what pain or suffering is but also you will never understand what love is either. A life without colour. No music. No books except the ones that has rules written on it.

Anyone, who wants to experience something very unusual, I say read the book. The movie, has some different touches obviously but I would recommend reading it.
